Thomas’s Battersea Jazz Group is Thomas school's premier jazz ensemble. The group is made up of the school’s finest jazz musicians including trumpeters, saxophonists, guitarists, percussion players and pianists. They perform traditional jazz and mix it up with music from the Caribbean, South America and the occasional contemporary pop song.

This joyously jazzy musical afternoon will consist of performances by the finest soloists and ensembles from Thomas's Battersea. The first half kicks off with soloists backed up by Thomas's very own professional rhythm section: Mr Noel Joyce on drums, Mr Adam Dyer on piano, and Mr David McLeod on electric bass.
After the interval, the sonorous Songbirds, led by Ms Rosie Midgley will thrill you with their harmonious harmonies, and we will hear from the famed Jazz Group, directed by Mr Adam Dyer and featuring several fine young musicians who may turn out to be stars of the future. We will finish off with a rousing finale involving Mrs Silverman's scintillating Centaur Singers, the Jazz Group, Songbirds and as many performers as possible - hopefully even the audience! This is an event not to be missed!
