The Original Aces & Ciyo Brown Present SOUNDS AND PRESSURE - Standing Room Only Tickets
The Original ACES, one of the most iconic vocal groups in Jamaican musical history, has reformed and joins forces with guitar man Ciyo Brown and his band to bring us SOUNDS AND PRESSURE - a celebration of ROCKSTEADY, the rhythmic bridge that spanned ska and reggae.

The Original Aces
Reformed and sounding studio fresh the goose-bump-giving harmonies of the Original Aces featuring Barry Howard and Carl St Clair plus new member Black Steel first came to the world's attention through their groundbreaking work with Desmond Dekker.
Desmond Dekker & The Aces were the first Jamaican reggae artist to achieved a number 1 chart hit record in the UK and Europe with 'Israelites'. Hit after hit followed, including '007', 'It Mek', 'Unity' and many more, securing The Aces a unique place in Jamaican and world musical history.
"Desmond Dekker & The Aces, singing lyrics in a Jamaican patois, helped make his 1969 song “Israelites”, an ode to the troubles of the poor, sold millions of copies, became the first purely Jamaican song to top the charts in the United States, and opened the ears of the world to the music of the island,” wrote Los Angeles Times journalist Jocelyn Y. Stewart.
Ciyo’s guitar contributions and collaborations feature on a host of live and recorded work with the great and good of the reggae world including JC Lodge, Sugar Minott, Bob Andy, Earl ‘Chinna' Smith, Barry Biggs, Dennis Bovell, Pam Hall, Jimmy Lindsay, Earl 16, Lukie D, Paulette Tajah, Susan Cadogan, Lorna Bennett, Kofi, Winston Reedy, Janet Kay and Carroll Thompson.
Ciyo has toured with Courtney Pine, Byron Wallen, Ronnie Laws, Billy Paul, Jean Toussaint, Maxi Priest, Beres Hammond, Horace Andy, Cleveland Watkiss, Steel Pulse and a host of others. He counts quality time spent with George Benson as amongst his most inspiring experiences to date.
A formidable guitartist, band leader and musical director, Ciyo's groove and choice of musicians ensures there is a beating heart through the every moment of the show.
