Stephen Carlin

Carlin has earned critical acclaim, accolades and a growing fanbase with his original and insightful writing style and accomplished delivery. He is very enigmatic act, using a unique pattern of delivery to amuse the audience with very unexpected and off the wall references. From his sartorial elegance to his in-depth and hilarious knowledge of International snooker, Carlin’s performance takes the audience into the mind of a passionate obsessive. This man is well on his way to become Scotland's newest addition to its history of brilliant comedians.
Named by Stewart Lee as one of the ‘Ten Best Comedians in the World Ever’..

“The whimsy and relaxed on-stage demeanour were a winner instantly…(Carlin) excelled in pedantry, married to exceptional use of language” Leamington Observer

“if this man isn’t a household name in five years time, the world is even more lacking in justice than we could have feared.” The Scotsman.
“The material is sharp and original.” The List

“a delightfully off beat act who expertly applies twisted, convoluted logic to common-or-garden observations to produce genuinely original material…a definite tip for the top.” Chortle

“Stephen Carlin is fast establishing himself as one of the most distinct and funny new comedians in Britain.” Chortle

“The Sean Lock of his generation.” BBC Comedy Development
